About KELI JOY, LCSW

SUBCONSCIOUS RESOLUTION SPECIALIST

High-Functioning adults often reach a point where insight is no longer enough. You may understand what’s not working. You’ve thought about it, reflected on it, and possibly spent years in therapy.
Yet the same internal responses continue to show up—under stress, in relationships, or in how you move through your life.

At a certain point, real change requires more than understanding. It requires working at the level where those responses are formed.

30 Years of Clinical Depth. A Global Perspective. Results-Oriented Change.

I’ve spent three decades in the trenches of human psychology—from high-acuity medical and psychiatric settings to outpatient addiction centers. Over that time, I’ve learned one consistent truth: understanding your problem is not the same as resolving it.

I am a Psychotherapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, but my work has evolved beyond the traditional medical model that focuses on managing symptoms. My practice is centered on resolving root patterns—working directly with subconscious processes and automatic physiological responses so change doesn’t just happen, it holds.

My Framework: Heal • Unblock • Advance

True resolution requires more than insight. It requires targeted engagement with the systems where patterns actually live and operate.

I integrate decades of clinical experience with high-impact, evidence-based modalities:

  • Clinical Hypnotherapy — to access and resolve the underlying “scripts” and core beliefs that drive behavior

  • EMDR (Certified) — to reprocess unresolved experiences so the past no longer dictates your present responses

  • Somatic & Parts Work — to resolve internal conflict and shift conditioned physiological responses that keep patterns in place

This is results-oriented, integrative psychotherapy designed to create measurable, lasting change.

A Life Shaped by the World

My approach is grounded in a progressive, no-nonsense East Coast mentality and refined through global experience. Living in England for five years, along with extensive travel throughout Europe, gave me firsthand insight into how differently people interpret, navigate, and resolve psychological challenges.

These life experiences inform my work. I bring a broad, inclusive, and forward-thinking lens into every session. I respect diversity in all its forms and believe each person’s history, identity, and lived experience should be understood—not simplified or reduced.

Beyond my clinical work, I bring the perspective of a full life lived - as a mother of two grown children and a grandmother of three. This informs my understanding of long-term patterns, identity evolution, and the complexity of real-world change.

A Systems-Based Approach to Change

I don’t just work with thoughts—I work with the systems that generate them.

My approach integrates subconscious patterning, cognitive processing, and conditioned physiological responses, recognizing that the mind and body function as a single, interconnected system. The patterns that keep people stuck are not simply habits or thoughts—they are automatic, learned responses that operate below conscious awareness.

To create meaningful change, we work directly at that level—reprocessing and resolving patterns at their source rather than repeatedly analyzing their effects.

This work is designed for individuals who are intellectually engaged, self-aware, and ready for a deeper level of change—not more surface-level insight or symptom management.

What I Value

My practice is built on clarity, integrity, and respect for the individual.

Integrity & Directness
I provide honest, objective feedback necessary for meaningful change. This is active, targeted work—not passive reflection or open-ended processing.

Advocacy & Respect for Identity
I am a strong supporter of women’s rights and LGBTQ+ equality. Your identity is respected, your autonomy is honored, and your experience is taken seriously.

Intellectual Engagement
I work best with individuals who value curiosity, depth, and personal evolution—those who want to understand themselves at a higher level and are willing to engage in the process required to get there.

I’m originally from Massachusetts, and after more than two decades in the Southwest, I continue to bring that progressive, forward-thinking perspective to my work with clients across the country.

Whether you are in Northern Virginia, Massachusetts, or select Southwest regions, the goal is the same:

to resolve what’s holding you back—at the root—so you can move forward with clarity and real momentum.

Ready for Resolution?

If you’re ready to move beyond insight to meaningful change, this work is designed to help you do so.

Heal · Unblock · Advance

This work follows a focused, intentional sequence designed to address the root causes of your internal responses.

HEAL | Nervous System Regulation

We use evidence-based approaches—including EMDR and somatic processing—to help resolve the impact of past experiences.
This allows the nervous system to update its responses and creates a foundation for meaningful change.

UNBLOCK | Subconscious Integration

We identify the internal dynamics that contribute to anxiety, overthinking, and feeling stuck.
By working directly with these processes, we reduce the resistance that keeps the same cycles in place.

ADVANCE | Forward Movement

As those underlying responses shift, the focus turns to movement.
We build clarity and consistency so changes can be applied in a way that is practical and sustainable.
